Seller said item was "Like new, literally just taken out of box and received as a gift". But shipped HP Monitor with no power cord, no video or audio cables, and no CD software and did not supply these items when they were requested. Only answered my first e-mail and no subsequent emails. I had to file a claim against this seller and the only choice I was offered was to return it at my expense. Since the cost of shipping & insurance was almost the same as spending the money to buy the missing items I chose to keep the monitor and buy the items. I believe the seller was dishonest in not disclosing that sale was only for the monitor, while saying it was "like new, literally just taken out of the box". I would not trust this seller.

Please do not buy this w2408h, because after a few months of use, the quickview menu will keep popping up,and changing settings between the movie, photo, gaming, text, and custom views without warning. I did some research and found that many people are also having this problem, and HP will not issue a replacement. To resolve this issue, you must break the plastic behind the menu buttons and cut a few wires.

This was by far the best monitor when it was released I go as far as saying it was ahead of it's time simply because we are in 2011 and my 2008 monitor hasn't aged compared to the competition specially at 1920x1200.
I would had given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact this monitor got me into prescription lens! I was very close of suing HP and I'm sure I would had won but I didn't for the fact it was partially my fault for not changing the color scheme out of the box but what a major flaw all default color schemes are made to blind you. This monitor should had come with a *warning - if you don't change the color scheme you mind end up blind. - literally that's the case.
I don't get some folks complaining on the thing dieing and this was the main reason I decided to write this review I have never had any problem with my monitor. I see the same thing people complaining on how their PS3 died I have mine since 2007 I presume the main reason is being people taking as good care of it as they would with a tractor in a field.
